Adobe fixed one of the two zero-day vulnerabilities that were revealed in the past two weeks. Earlier this week, Adobe rushed out a new version of Flash Player, which fixed the critical vulnerability discovered last week. Flash Player 10.1.85.3 is the updated version for everyone except Android OS users, for whom a corresponding version, 10.1.95.1, was released.

However, Acrobat and Reader users will remain vulnerable until October 4, the date when a new version fixing both this and the previous zero-day vulnerability will be released.

In addition to Flash Player’s own auto-update mechanism, users can also choose to manually install updates by downloading them from Adobe’s download center. As Google Chrome now includes an embedded Flash plug-in, users should update to version 6.0.472.62, which contains the fixed Flash component.
