Hi there. Have been enjoying Trend Micro for many years.
Just wondering if you have a suggestion on a safe program to be used by a towing company for searching VINs (vehicle identification numbers), names, phone numbers, addresses etc. My daughter and her husband have a towing company and their main towing is for banks etc. to recover vehicles for reposession. Have searched for a program, just not sure which ones are safe to use and would offer all that is needed. I do a lot of the tracking for them.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Thanks for using Trend Micro security solutions. I’m glad they have served you well.
As it turn out my wife is a biomechanics engineer who does accident reconstruction and injury analysis for automobile accident litigation. Her firm frequently has to do VIN lookups for the cases they handle. Currently they use the Record Research service https://www.recordsresearch1.com/ for looking up vehicle information based on VINs. This service works with the California DMV and is a paid service for which you must formally apply.
According to the community URL rating service Web of Trust (WOT, http://mywot.com) the Records Research website is rated excellent in terms of trustworthiness, vendor reliability and privacy, so I don’t think this is a site that hosts malicious content. That would make sense given their relationship with the California DMV.
Thanks for your question, Betty. Glad to help.
