The Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) Conference has kicked off in Boston, MA and will run through Friday. This annual conference offers an ideal networking and learning opportunity from experts in the global security community.
According to the FIRST website, the organization is a “a global non-profit organization dedicated to bringing together computer security incident response teams (CSIRTs) and includes response teams from over 240 corporations, government bodies, universities and other institutions spread across the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania.”
The week’s schedule is full of industry experts ready to share their knowledge, including Trend Micro’s Senior Threat Researcher, Ben April. During his session he’ll discuss “Bitcoin for the Incident Responder.” You can read more about Bitcoin from Ben’s his previous post, “Flattening Bitcoin: What is Transaction Malleability?” Additional security related topics will include advanced techniques in security incident prevention, detection and response and the latest advances in computer and network security tools.
Trend Micro will be at Table 15 on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Plaza Ballroom (Mezzanine Level – 2nd Floor) for the Vendor Showcase & Reception where you will have the opportunity to meet Trend experts and learn more about Deep Discovery and Deep Security.
