The AWS Test Drive program provides people with an opportunity to quickly test and evaluate new technologies within the AWS cloud. The idea is to be able to hit the ground running and allow students to explore the featured technology without worrying about first deploying and configuring a learning environment.
Today, I’m pleased to announce that we’ve launched the Deep Security as a Service AWS Test Drive.
Security in the AWS cloud operates under the shared responsibility model. In this 45-minute lab, you’ll see how Deep Security as a Service can help you meet your responsibilities under this model. You’ll see how Deep Security simplifies adding advanced controls to your EC2 instances and the features available in the service that help reduce the management of those controls.
What to expect
When were we designing this lab, we wanted to use a realistic scenario that students could relate to. Over the course of the lab, you’ll apply a variety of security controls to your application, gradually building up a sophisticated security policy with minimal effort.
While you are building your policy, you’ll see each of the controls in action and be able to evaluate what value it can provide to your real-world applications. By the end of the lab, you’ll have a better understanding of how Deep Security as a Service can not only protect from today’s latest threats but also from common everyday IT problems.
Keep on learning
A lab environment can only teach you so much. That’s why after you complete the lab, you’ll come away with a free 30-day trial of the service. This allows you to explore the technology and its benefits in your own AWS environment.
Getting started is easy; it only takes a minute to sign up for the test drive.
