According to media reports of ShanghaiDaily.com, the Chinese authorities have apprehended eight hackers that supposedly have conenctions with the creation of the FUJACKS virus, a file-infecting worm that steals user names and passwords.

Among those detained is a certain Li Jun, who is believed to use the handle Whboy — as in the same string found in the worm’s code.

The report also mentions Li Jun apparently earned more than US$12,500 for selling the worm to other hackers. Let’s just hope he won’t be able to enjoy it any longer once he’s in jail.
