Last year’s AWS re:Invent was an amazing event – a whirlwind, as it was described by many attendees. And, I’m very much looking forward to this year’s event! Without a doubt, we will witness another series of product and service launches and be wowed yet again. I can’t wait to see AWS’ new offerings, enjoy the great networking opportunities, as well as experience the variety of insightful sessions and tracks.

As a diamond sponsor, the Trend Micro team is particularly anticipating our session with a few special guests:

“Lessons from a CISO: How to Securely Scale Teams, Workloads, & Budgets” (DVO206)
October 8, 2015 at 2:45pm

Presenters are:

  • Jim Hoover, CISO, Infor
  • Matt Yanchyshyn, Sr. Manager, Solutions Architecture, Amazon Web Services
  • Adam Boyle, Director of Product Management, AWS Cloud Security, Trend Micro

Our customer Infor, an enterprise business software provider with nearly 45 million users, understood the importance of AWS’ shared security model when transitioning to the cloud and has great experience to share. Their CISO, Jim Hoover will be on hand to highlight the unique challenges Infor faced transitioning and protecting large-scale workloads on the AWS cloud.

The presentation will detail valuable insights for CISOs to jump-start their migration with best practices for:

  • network design and architecture
  • team adjustments
  • training
  • greater visibility for C-suite executives

Leveraging the AWS Cloud has proven the right choice for many organizations already, and by adding the right partner, you can multiply the value. Jim will explain how Infor’s move to AWS has allowed the security and operations teams to provide more value than ever before. This will be real-time actionable information you can take to make better decisions to drive business growth. Definitely a can’t-miss session!

Make sure to also attend the second Trend Micro session, presented by Mark Nunnikhoven, vice president cloud research:

“Defending Your Workloads Against the Next Zero Day” (DVO207)
October 7, 2015 at 4:15pm

His primary focus will be on increasing the security and availability of your AWS deployment. Be sure to check out his recent blog post.

It would be great to meet you face-to-face. This year, we invite you to step aboard Deep Security airlines for a turbulence-free cloud security experience. Please drop by our booth No. 1004 to learn more about how we can help you take flight to the AWS cloud.

Here’s to an awesome, informative and high-flying re:Invent!
