“I can see clearly now, the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way.”– Johnny Nash
I’ve always liked Johnny Nash’s 1972 hit song, “I Can See Clearly Now” because I could relate to the lyrics. My eyesight has always been great and at one point in my life, I had 20/15 vision in one eye and 20/10 in the other without corrective lenses. But, just like a lot of things, nothing lasts forever. So imagine my dismay when my optometrist informed me that my level of eye-muscle strain is off the charts and I need “computer readers.” Me? Glasses? I will admit that vanity got the best of me. But then a funny thing happened. I turned on my laptop, put on the glasses and they worked! While I still have great vision, the glasses give me that something extra in the form of enhanced visibility and relief for my eye strain. The moral of the story? You can always make something better.
Speaking of making something even better, TippingPoint has partnered with Qualys and Rapid7 to give customers unparalleled visibility into their networks so they can make more informed decisions and take immediate action on the vulnerabilities in their network. TippingPoint’s Enterprise Vulnerability Remediation (eVR) gives Qualys and Rapid7 customers who leverage TippingPoint network security solutions—including the Threat Protection System, Next-Generation Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and the Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW)—the ability to import vulnerability scan results into the TippingPoint Security Management System (SMS) to correlate the CVEs from their scan to the CVEs of TippingPoint Digital Vaccine threat intelligence. Customers will receive policy adjustment recommendations tuned against their specific deployment that will ultimately reduce administration time, increase security coverage, reduce unnecessary notifications and provide a big picture view into their overall security posture. eVR is available today to all TippingPoint customers!
