I was visiting with my colleagues yesterday and the subject of color blindness came up. There are a few people at the office who have color blindness and I found out that there are varying degrees of it. According to Wikipedia, color blindness is usually classified as a mild disability, but some studies conclude that the prevalence of red-green color blindness could be an advantage to penetrating certain color camouflages that people with normal vision can’t discern.
And while our 2200T TippingPoint Threat Protection System isn’t “colorblind,” its “vision” is just a little more special because it’s our first product with on-box SSL inspection. We can now help you eliminate the blind spots in your network. For more information, you can visit www.trendmicro.com/tippingpoint or you can download the 2200T datasheet here.

Trend Micro: Vulnerabilities, Patching and Minimizing Risks: Exploring Best Practices
In this roundtable, led by Christopher Budd, participants will share their best practices for mitigating risk due to software vulnerabilities in their environments. Christopher will provide context from Trend Micro’s vulnerability research, which was the #1 external supplier of Microsoft® and Adobe® Reader® vulnerabilities in 2015. Waiting for patches and doing emergency deployments are risky solutions that often come too late to protect organizations from today’s fast moving threat landscape.

Qualys: State of Vulnerabilities, Exploits and Best Practices for Prioritizing Remediation
IT professionals are expected to protect their organizations from previously disclosed vulnerabilities and from an estimated 6,000 new ones this year. When it comes to vulnerability remediation, many organizations struggle with volumes of cyberthreats and shortages of Infosec professionals. To weather this storm, IT departments must prioritize remediation. Qualys CTO Wolfgang Kandek and a panel of industry experts will discuss a year-long study of exploits and share best practices to improve remediation and reduce risk.
