Top Ranking for Trend Micro Mobile Security for Android on Security App Test

AV-TEST.org recently evaluated 32 security apps from different providers for their protection function, usability and battery strain.
We’re proud to report that Trend Micro™ Mobile Security for Android achieved top ranking  – out-scoring 19 other apps, including those provided by Kaspersky, McAfee, and Symantec.

Our Mobile Security for Android had to defend against more than 220 select threats, which constituted the most dangerous apps collected by AV-TEST within the four weeks prior to test launch.

Maximum Points in Usability Test

In addition, Trend Micro Mobile Security for Android achieved the maximum points in Usability testing, which evaluated battery impact and frequency of false positives. AV-TEST found that the Trend Micro app issued no false warnings during installation and usage of legitimate apps from the Google Play Store Also, our app had no false warnings during installation and usage of legitimate software from third party app stores.

The Trend Micro Mobile Security app is chock full of extras, including anti-theft features, parental controls, safe browsing, backup and restore, a privacy scanner for Facebook, and newly added battery and memory optimizer capabilities.

An Industry First

New to the latest version and an industry first is the exclusive malware blocker (Pre-Installation Scan), which is designed to block malicious apps downloaded from Google Play before they can be installed and threaten your device or data.
