“Our business, and for that matter any business, has a responsibility to ensure that the environment in which it operates is vibrant, healthy, and sustainable.” – Eva Chen, Trend Micro CEO

Every year, Trend Micro participates in a company-wide, Give and Match program where Trenders are encouraged to select a charity of their choice and raise funds for it. Trend Micro then matches the final amount of funds raised and gifts it to the charity.

This year, 475 Trenders from all over the world participated and together, with Trend Micro’s match, collected a total of $86,181 to be donated. Charities ranged from a variety of different initiatives, including animal rescue, children’s education, cancer research and more.

In Texas, Trenders had the unique opportunity to present one of the recipients, Farine Elementary School, with its check for $5,676. The school works tirelessly to “nurture lifelong readers, writers and thinkers” by providing an “environment conducive to creativity, academic excellence and personal growth for all students.” The facility is close to Trend Micro’s office in Irving and plays an important role in shaping future leaders right in Trend Micro’s backyard.

We’re proud of all our Trenders for their generosity in supporting our communities worldwide and look forward to next year’s Give and Match to continue supporting charities in their admirable endeavors.
